Tonight, tonight.

Nikolas Antipov | Slytherin | 6th year

Though the sorting hat made no more than a moment’s pause for contemplation, Nikolas is not your typical Slytherin in the slightest. At first glance, some might think he’s the absolute farthest from what a Slytherin should be. He’s an optimist at heart, and can be found smiling through most of the day at absolutely nothing in particular. Most of the time, whether at the library or in the Great Hall, he’ll be humming a tune from his latest, favorite musical. However, he’s very clever and witty, absolutely mischievous when even the mere prospect arises. Once he becomes comfortable around others, his rather warped sense of humor comes out as well, proving that he is indeed a true Slytherin. In other words, he’s the type of guy who either makes friends with everyone… or annoys the living daylights out of them.

Fell asleep while cramming for classes last night… Not good.

Novella,

Sorry I haven’t been around since the ball. I promise I didn’t pull a Houdini on you.

I’ve come down with something ruddy and awful, but what’s more ruddy and awful is the fact that I’ve been quarantined to the Hospital Wing for the next few days.

I think I’ve already driven Pomfrey half mad with my singing, so I may be able to escape sooner.

Hopefully this recording will find its way to you.

Love you.

Nik

“Greetings, my dear friends. My, you’re all looking ravishing this evening. I expect everyone is as enthusiastic about this celebration, as I. Now, let us go forth and show the others, as Slytherins do, how grand we are.”
“… What in the name of the little sanity I have left are you doing?”
“Immitating ol’ Malfoy, obviously.”

Everyone please unfollow Elena Antipov. The role has been reopened.

I’m not crying, I’ve just got allergies.

Nikolas

novella-dagny:

Eyes widen, at the glowing and the fact he had kept it. Um…I would like you to keep it…as in, have it under your possession permanently. T-this isn’t the least way..r-ro—…roman…that word. B-but it’s to…thank you for…the performance…

Romantic? Closes his eyes for a moment chuckling softly, then opens one, looking over at her. I wasn’t sure I’d need it once you came back, but I think I’ve kept it safe for you, since then for that very same reason. It’s never glown as much as it has now… when before it would always flicker so dimly.

Nikolas

novella-dagny:

Your logic makes a sufficient argument…smiles. Oh…look. Reaches in the pocket of her robe and pulls out a necklace with an emerald stoned shard. It glows dimly. It’s the mate…to the necklace I gave you…do you still have it? If not, it’s quite alright…I can find it using the light of this one…it glows brighter when the two are near each other.

Oh, just a moment! He rummages inside his pocket and pulls out a little pouch, shifting through it until his fingers grasp the chain of the pendant. I’ve kept it safe inside here. Maybe the reason yours wasn’t glowing so brightly was because this little thing dulls the effects of magical items. That’s how they never find my pranking material. Clever, eh? He stuffs the pouch back in his trouser pocket and holds the necklace up, watching as the glow shines brightly.

Nikolas

novella-dagny:

Brings her hand to her mouth and laughs quietly, meeting his eyes for a moment before taking her glance to the ground again. Well…that would be a first…I surely wouldn’t want to be rambling…around you and such…

Pleased that he made her laugh, he crosses his arms over his chest and leans back against the wall. I’ve had no problem understanding you so far… and if it is rambling that you’re doing, I like your rambling… and I may do a great deal of it myself.
